Mean overall visibility score (0–100) measured across live engine checks per category. Scores combine AI mention rate and website readiness.
How often is the checked business actually mentioned when the engine answers a buyer-intent question? Higher = more likely to recommend. Small-N responses are flagged.

Data collection: For each tracked business, the scanner sends real buyer-intent prompts (e.g. “best [category] near [city]”) through multiple AI engines, then checks whether the business is actually mentioned in the response. Results are scored, graded, and aggregated at the category level — no individual business identities or URLs are published in this dataset.
Scoring: AI visibility score (0–100) is a weighted composite of AI mention rate, average answer position, citation rate, and sentiment. Website readiness score covers schema markup, llms.txt, crawlability, and content structure. Overall score = website × 0.4 + AI × 0.6.
Engine mix: The free tier uses open models via Groq (llama), Mistral, and Alpha. Paid tiers add ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Perplexity. Engine-specific mention rates in this dataset reflect the full engine mix across all scan tiers.
Refresh cadence: The dataset refreshes automatically every time a scan completes — weekly for paid users, on-demand for free checks. Numbers in this report are live and reflect all scans completed to date.
Privacy: Only category-level aggregates are published. Individual business names, URLs, and cities are never exposed through this dataset page or its CSV. Businesses that opt in to the public leaderboard are shown separately at /leaderboard.

Frequently asked questions
What is this dataset?
It's a live, auto-refreshing snapshot of how often real businesses are mentioned in AI-engine answers — ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, and free open models — aggregated by industry vertical. Every time the scanner runs, the numbers update.
How is it collected?
Launch at Dawn runs live buyer-intent prompts (e.g. 'best dentist in Montreal') through multiple AI engines, then checks whether the target business is actually mentioned in the answer. Results are scored, graded, and aggregated at the category level — no individual business identities are published.
Why does mention rate matter?
AI assistants increasingly replace traditional search for buying decisions. If ChatGPT or Perplexity doesn't mention your business when someone asks a relevant question, you're invisible to a fast-growing share of customers. This dataset quantifies the gap.
Which verticals are tracked?
Currently: SaaS, marketing agencies, dental practices, healthcare, restaurants, real estate, and others as businesses sign up. The dataset expands automatically as more businesses are scanned.
Can I download the raw data?
Yes — download the CSV summary by category, engine, and grade at the link above. Individual business identities are not included for privacy; the dataset is aggregated at category level.
How often is the dataset updated?
Automatically, every time a scan completes. Weekly rescans for paid users and on-demand free checks feed the aggregation pipeline continuously.
